Human traffickers forced 62 illegals from India, Bangladesh, Eritrea, Cuba and Brazil into the sea.

The 62 immigrants left Turbo Beach in a boat chartered by people smugglers… The vessel evaded the controls of the Colombian Navy in the Gulf of Urabá… The journey lasted four hours and then, a kilometer away from the border of Panama, people smugglers forced foreigners to throw themselves into the sea...

David Serpa Mora, commander of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force N73, explained that one person died of drowning… Fishermen from the area, at five in the morning, detected the migrants in the water, rescued them and took them to the coast…

Captain Jonathan Cáceres, commander of District 3 of the Acandí Police Station, reported that the 61 survivors were placed at the disposal of Migración Colombia, in Capurganá... Among the rescued migrants there are four minors and one pregnant woman… The migrants come from India, Bangladesh, Eritrea, Cuba and Brazil... The identity of the migrant who drowned and will be buried as unknown is unknown…
