Unfortunately, this is one of the absolute certainties that every migrant woman, of any age, who illegally crosses through Mexico has ... They assume, from the beginning, that they will be raped individually or tumultuary during their trip through Mexico. The main concern of these women is to know if, after being satiated in them, their abusers will leave them alive ... The investigations of humanitarian organizations reveal that the main sexual violator of migrants is the Coyote that transports them ... Among the perpetrators are also found the migration agents, policemen of various Mexican corporations and military, the Maras gang members and the neighbors of the communities where the migrants travel ... The attacks occur in practically the whole country, although civil organizations and authorities have identified some points especially dangerous…

"Two of the women were raped daily ... They looked like a rag, the women they raped (...) They said one of them was delicious and they said: 'We gave it on both sides' ... One of them was menstruating and they did not care, they had all raped them, except one that they disgusted," said Vanesa, a Honduran migrant who crossed into Chiapas illegally in an interview for the Colegio de la Frontera Norte (Colef) ...

The previous one is just one of the hundreds of existing testimonies, collected over the years, of the abuses suffered by many undocumented women in Mexico, where the figures of femicides and disappearances of women are scary, they are like something out of a novel with a sad and bloody end ...

The migrant women who illegally cross Mexico, to reach the United States, with the hope of finding better living conditions, suffer constant vexations in their long journey ... Their testimonies are plagued by horror stories about violence, aggressions and abuses, in the that impunity is especially important ...

They leave home with the illusion of improving their lives, but what happens on the road is far from happiness ... For some, so much pain is the cost to pay for the American dream, and for others it is nothing, because they die or disappear submerged in prostitution ... The use of contraceptives among migrants to mitigate something sexual violence is an extended practice ...

And who are responsible?, according to Global Voices, all are ... Various people and institutions, including Mexican government officials, smugglers, drug traffickers, and the people themselves that leave room for impunity, are part of the problem ...

The Coyotes, let's say, to save themselves from going to prison when they are intercepted on some solitary Mexican highway, force the migrants to have sex with the immigration agents and police of various corporations ...

Government figures indicate that, in 2014, 90% of migrant women and girls from Central America were raped while illegally crossing Mexico ... The figure is not exact since many do not admit that they were raped and do not report it, because having papers are deported to their countries of origin ...

The sexual violation of illegal migrants is a high cost that they must pay to cross the two national borders of Mexico, to try to reach the United States ... The proportion of migrant women who crosses Mexico illegally continues its upward trend, as it went from 8.5% in 2014 to 11.28% in 2015, the majority being relatively young Central Americans (18-30 years of age), with a low level of schooling ...

Added to this, there is a crisis of forced disappearance of women in the Aztec country ... Violence against them has wreaked havoc in cities like Ciudad Juárez and Mexico City for years, where some are found dead, raped and mutilated, and the others never appear ...
