Colombian Navy intercepted in the Gulf of Urabá 14 illegal immigrants from Angola, Eritrea, India, P

The Colombian Navy intercepted in the Gulf of Urabá, on the border with Panama, a boat carrying 14 illegal migrants of different nationalities. The objective of these illegal migrants was to reach Central America to continue traveling to the United States. The events took place at dawn on Thursday, October 25, 2018.

The human traffickers, when noticing the presence of the Colombian Navy, and in their eagerness to escape, took the boat to the beach and started the flight, abandoning the migrants. The two Coyotes (human traffickers) who piloted the boat were captured and put in prison. Illegal migrants came from Angola, Eritrea, India, Pakistan and the Republic of the Congo, and they were handed over to Migración Colombia to proceed with their deportation.
